Bill O’Reilly: NY Times Lied About Benghazi to Help Hillary
The New York Times recently published a “report” about the “facts” surrounding the four murders of American diplomats in Benghazi on September 11, 2012. And by “report” I mean “blatant lies with the obvious intentions of protecting Hillary.”
The article falsely claimed that the attacks were spontaneously spurred by a YouTube video; this is the same lie that was proven false long ago. They also took it upon themselves to conclude that al Qaeda was definitely not involved in the attack. Moreover, Hillary’s name failed to be mentioned a single time throughout the entire article, despite her position as Secretary of State at the time of the attacks.
In case you missed it, Congressman Trey Gowdy absolutely destroyed their lies and favoritism in an interview with Fox News last week. And last Thursday, Bill O’Reilly called them out for their “seriously flawed” report that was, in his words, “pure bull.”
Fox News Insider reports:
He called it “pure bull” for the paper to claim that the attack was not “meticulously planned” and was actually a response to an anti-Islam video.
O’Reilly specifically called out the Times reporters for not mentioning a Pentagon report from prior to the attack that highlighted links between Ansar al-Shariah – the group blamed for the attack – and al Qaeda.
The Times report was motivated by a desire to help Hillary Clinton’s possible run for the White House, he argued, adding that the paper’s “primary goal” is to help progressive causes and politicians.
“I could be wrong [about the Times' agenda], but I’m not wrong about the reporting. It is seriously flawed.”
Bill O’Reilly is right. We still don’t have all of the answers about what happened that night, but it’s so blatantly obvious that this article by the New York Times is shamelessly trying to protect Hillary; they want her to have a scandal-free run for the presidency and ignoring, covering up, then lying about the deaths of four Americans doesn’t really mesh well with that.
Fox News writes:
[A] New York Times report published over the weekend has angered sources who were on the ground that night. Those sources, who continue to face threats of losing their jobs, sharply challenged the Times’ findings that there was no involvement from Al Qaeda or any other international terror group and that an anti-Islam film played a role in inciting the initial wave of attacks.
“It was a coordinated attack. It is completely false to say anything else. … It is completely a lie,” one witness to the attack told Fox News. [...]
“Guys were coming into the compound, moving left, moving right…and using IMT (individual movement techniques). … That’s not a spontaneous attack,” one special operator said.
“One guy was shooting, one guy was running. There are guys watching the gates. … The bosses on the ground were pointing, commanding and coordinating — that is a direct action planned attack.” [...]
They insist that while Khattallah was found responsible for the actions at the actual consulate and was essentially the ground force commander that night, he is also clearly tied to Ansar al-Sharia and to the broader terrorist network.
“There is direct evidence linking him before the attack and after the attack to terrorist groups. An opportunity came, and Khattallah conducted an assault on the consulate. To say that it wasn’t tied to Al Qaeda is completely false. There is literal evidence in many forms and shapes, directly linking him,” one source said.
Hillary cut the security team in Benghazi and replaced them with a radical Islamic group that was associated with al Qaeda. She ignored their multiple requests for more security then tried to blame it on everyone else. She didn’t even have a back-up plan. She committed a felony by lying to Congress in an effort to sweep the scandal under the rug. She needs to be prosecuted, not gearing up for a White House run.
The Times is “doing their part” in protecting her by outright lying, but there are plenty of people who are committed to truth and justice to ensure she doesn’t get away with it.
