Leaked Email: Obama Caught “Faking” Impact of Sequester
A leaked email is showing how the Obama administration is “faking” how harsh the impact of the sequester “cuts” are going to be. The goal is to make the impacts of the “cuts” as bad as the administration promised — even if they have to fake it. In other words, Obama wants to hurt people in the real world in order to score political points. Disgusting.
The Washington Times reports that Charles Brown, an official with the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service office in Raleigh, N.C., sent an email to the Obama administration in order to ask “if there was any latitude” in spreading the impact of the sequester cuts in order to mitigate the impact.
The answer should be surprising to no one who has come to expect the political moves of DC. They literally said that no, there wouldn’t be any wiggle room to work with the cuts, because they needed to make the impact as horrible as their doomsday predictions — whether necessary or not. The exact words are below.
The answer from DC officials was this, according to the Washington Times article linked to above:
“We have gone on record with a notification to Congress and whoever else that ‘APHIS would eliminate assistance to producers in 24 states in managing wildlife damage to the aquaculture industry, unless they provide funding to cover the costs.’ So it is our opinion that however you manage that reduction, you need to make sure you are not contradicting what we said the impact would be.”
This is absolutely ludicrous, but proves what we’ve been saying all along. The slight cut in increased spending isn’t going to break the economy, it isn’t going to end America, and the doomsday predictions were a pure lie.
DC knows this, so their response to having their bluff called is more of the same — they’re trying to lie to cover up the other lies.
Deceit is an inherent part of the political process. There’s no way to grow tyranny without lying to the people who will be further enslaved. Only through deceit will people trade prosperity and liberty for stagnation and chains.
